Hi! I would like to know if there's any chance we're going to be able to have night fighting as the SOW progresses so we get to have nice 2 Engine LW AC shooting bomber formations at night?
I think it's an aspect of the WWII that Sims have never delt with. Don't you think it's about time we have it so we get a more complete feel of the era & situation? |

No Ai keap their lights on & you got no radar on board to tear Halifax, Wellington ,Stirling, Lancaster & stuf to pieces
- Also Super Ai can see you inside a cloud & in total darkness (which is stupid) + you never see their motors puffing flames & stuff ... like all A/C did at that time didn’t they? Last edited by I/ZG52_Gaga; 02-11-2008 at 04:49 PM. |

This was discussed some time ago and Oleg didn’t think the interest for night fighting with all the long eventless flights in pit black nights would justify the time to make it possible.
I find the topic interesting myself but for how long? Seriously? Viking |

I think the He-219 would be a blast. The P-61 as well. But you are right, it wouldn't hold my interest long enough to justify the amount of work to develop the capability.

The idea is as follows ....
you get On-line wars and you don't get the night sift of it ever! - That's lame ! i want the whole package Day & Night. |

With half the pilots I know unable to find their way back to their carrier after a battle, how many would get instrument rated enough to fly a nightfighter.
Let alone have the time to study up on radar operation. But I agree in a perfect world, I would love to give it ago |

I'd really like such a feature. Radar and avionics back then were really primitive, so all you need is a cathode display with a waveform that presents spikes when it spots an object. I know i'd love to be able to man the radar station on a 110, or fly a Mosquito with Oboe equipment installed and be a pathfinder.
