Default Where are the 'rivet and panel lines' files

I wanted to know if anyone has found the 'rivet and panel lines' files in the Cod folder?.....I just made a skin for a friend and can not influence the rivets and panel lines so they show up in a big way on the skin making a skin that is supposed to look like a brand new aircraft look old and well used....

or

are these files hard coded and unaccessible....seems a real shot in the foot if they are...

Here is a pic of what they look like on a totally black spitfire....

Afraid they are hard coded mate, one of my biggest gripes and reasons for stopping skinning at the moment, or until its 'sorted'

Hard coding rivets and panel lines was particularly stupid.

If they are accurate why is it stupid? What is annoying is the weathering bug I haven't seen a clean spit in a long time

They are not coded, well, sort of...
They are in DDS files. What is coded is the shader that applies them on top of the texture. This shader is responsible of how "visible" they are depending on the weathering, light etc...

I've made a black skin to observe what is "added", and I didn't see the same thing that you have posted. Are you sure it's not the weathering you're seeing there?

Here's a link to a layered template I made with the rivets and panel lines for a Bf109 to get you started... http://airwarfare.com/sow/index.php?...tid=11&cid=315

The thing is that they are not accurate, unless you are talking about some of these aircraft that were/are found in scrap yards 40 years after WWII
