The last warning, guys. If someone continues promoting hacking, insulting each other, using obscene language or post extremely off-topic threads, the punishment will come immediately. I think no one wants to be banned. Such measures are entirely for your own good. This forum isn't going to turn into a zoo, this forum was created for honorable people, who respect themselves and each other. I think all of you are such people. So prove it and the only result will be happiness and good warm atmosphere on the forum.
Notice the bolded thingy? I'm sick of it, it's a direct provocation and does not lead to the "good warm atmosphere". Our host is very hospitable let's not take advantage of that fact.
If I can refrain myself from typing what I would like in respond to the bolded stuff with MY kind of temper, then I think everybody can

I don't see so much people promoting the hacks so much as defending thier reputations. The majority of the discussion on that subject is directly related to whether or not mod users are cheaters. I beleive there is far more "insulting each other" coming from the anti-mod crowd than there is "promoting hacking" from the pro-modders.

Surely its the moderators job to decide what is and isn't acceptable...i'm sure if he feels anyone has stepped out of line he'l warn/delet/ban as appropriate...
I'm not in favour of an form of censorship...
I'm even happy for the anti-mod camp to say their bit...
Readers can make their own minds up about what they want to do based on all available information...
Why do you want to close down discussion on a topic that is obviously important to lots of posters...the total of posts and of views of the Sound Mod threads far exceed those in any other threads...so obviously they're of interest to someone!

Think you're reading too much into the posts and not reading all of the content....

No one is saying "to mod makes you a cheater"....and most deffinately not claiming that's the intent.

What many are saying is online certain mods "are" cheats as it gives that person an advantage over others in play, sadly also without them knowing it. Not saying the person is using them to cheat, yet I will say most do not select mods that handicaps them either.

In kind, most are saying that modding opens up the sim to more cheaters. Meaning, there are those that would cheat yet never had a means to before.....Now they can easily do so, and in kind even worse find mods that are intended to be cheats and apply them.

And if we are to pretend we are civilized we will try not to make extra work for the moderator.
I don't want to censor or close anything, look around, sniff a bit and you will see what I'm talking about, most of the things are nice and polite but some are downright insulting...
Can't we discuss without such things?

Ok, maybe I got a little confused, lets see if we can sort this out...

Billfish, it was not really the intent of my post to say I feel like I've been called a cheater so much as to say I don't think there are a lot of modders on her "promoting hacking". Your points in your post are more or less valid so don't think I'm arguing with you, just trying to clear up the intent of my post.

What I took the original post to say was "Why don't all these modders get banned for violating the order against 'promoting hacking'?", (since that is the part he bolded and pointed out as bolded) what I was trying to say was "I don't think there is much violation of the rule against 'promoting hacking' but there is a lot of violation of the rule against 'insulting each other'."

Did I miss the intent of the OP? I am a little clearer about my response to what I perceived the OP to mean?

You missed my point, which is no wonder since I wasn't completely clear in my OP lol. This was written because I found a few quite inappropriate and agressive posts(I will not go into detail). What I wanted to achieve is to point out that there are some rules here and also that we can try to keep all this at more reasonable level, I see many have read this thread and what I find interesting people that made me write this didn't show up in here but I guess that's how it usually goes lol

Urufu if there are still some misunderstandings you can adress me on PM, I will not show up in this thread anymore, my general point was made with post one anyway...
