Default Problems with latest Nvidia drivers.

Since installing the 180.48 drivers, which were billed as offering substantial performance increases, I am getting flickering on water reflections and smoke, in all the games I play. (1946, SH4, Far Cry 2)

Anyone else see this?

Just wondering if it's a config problem on my end or if the drivers are indeed not so hot.

Default 174.74....

8800 GT OC 512:
174.74 is what I stick with. I have tried most of them and including the ones I dld last week which had loads of texture flicker/defect. None were as clean as 174.74 and incidentially none were an improvement in FPS nor visual quality.

Try the 174.74. Note that periodically even the 174.74 exibit a minute bit of flicker but it is rare and less than any other I have tried. None of the drivers are flawless some are significantly less so.

PEACE
