Default Terrain Detail Option Bug

Last nigth I decide to dealing with "Land Detail" options. I had it set to Med and change it to High, to see how things go.

It prove to be a very bad decision, because after the game re-start (changing Land Detail opinion requires the game to re-start), my game drops from a solid 40 fps and almost stutters free at low level flight, to a 20 fps and tons of stutters making it unplayable.

Tryed to change to LOW and to MED previous detail Land detail level, and always get 20 fps, high stutter game.

The video options are hardly bugged.

Any Advice?

Regards.

Edited: Did try to clean the cache folder, but no good.

Wow. 72 viewers, no reply.

Anyway, did uninstal all and instal again, and it did the trick.

I was close to leave the Beta testing.

Unique bug. Be proud of it.
Try this: open the conf.ini file (1C Softclub folder), and edit the values with wordpad (LandShading=0, LandDetails=0, ...), if the game UI dont work.

Hi Tom,

I did try to edit config.ini, to see if it was any difference.

I believe that this isn't a separate situation, because there are many thing that don´t work ok on video options/3D engine from the day of inicial release.

It looks like at certain stage of the development something had gone, a missing link that prevented a smooth finnish on the way things had been envisioned.

For example, that situation related by many people, clean the game cache before an update, never sound very well to me.

Regards,

Pedro
