Exclamation Standard Tracks Benchmark Videos - Evaluating CloD objectively

Let's make it clear: a lot of peole still talking that CloD are "unplayable" even in high end rigs.

Well, I believe that CloD runs OK in my middle range hardware. And the only way negative people can believe in that is showing some records of standard tracks.

I use the method of record all standard tracks in their first run, after loading CloD, with FRAPS in 30 FPS recording mode, with my hardware/OS specs and video settings used, and relevant notes about how the sim behaves when FRAPS isn't recording (in last patch we have a lot of performance drop when FRAPS is recording).

If people can do the same, we'll have really some intersting objective AND subjective benchmark to do some comparsions and choices.

I put some brazilian songs that I like in the video, because more than 10 minutes video with only the bugged soundtrack of tracks recorded in CloD will be anoying...

My impressions: perfectly playable, with solid +40 FPS in normal gameplay. With textures lowered to "HIGH", the old stutters almost gone. With textures up to "ORIGINAL", some minor stutters still... One think I need to tell is that the new "The Black Death" track in CloD runs with less stutters (streaming) in my new rig with the 560 Ti than the old "The Black Death" track in IL-2 1946, with the old HD 4850. I think that it is really remarkable as proof of performance increase with new patches.

Please post more benchmarks and impressions!

No, but it's maybe the time to some ban here in this forum...

its a good idea in theory my friend but i think a bit difficult to come up with just one standard with so many different machine types at the moment all working differently.

Need a single card Nvidia system standard Low/Med/High

Need a single card AMD/ATI system standard Low/Med/High

Dual Card SLI standard Low/Med/High

Dual Card Crossfire standard Low/Med/High

For instance My game performance has fallen more than improved with the patches it seems but those same patches have improved others with non crossfire setups so though your standard is much improved mine is not.

It is a good idea though to give us all some sort of benchmark for each type of setup but I think it will need to be specific to at least those four main groups otherwise you will have people like me that have what should be a higher end system (or at least Med/High for this game and yet still can not even come close to the same performance as you can

Why not use the Black Death track that is included in Clod.It is the same for everybody.

Adjust your hardware and settings accordingly.
