Could be great, but the last AvP left a bad taste in my mouth. The best thing about the original AvP, which was a great game, was the Marine campaign. Particularly the movie sounds they incorporated, and the atmosphere created by only being able to use the motion tracker with your nightvision disabled.

I don't have much faith in Gearbox anymore either. And considering Duke Nukem was a failure and the layoffs they had there recently, I won't be rushing out to buy this until many, many reviews are in.

I personally think it will be a superb game. Duke Nukem was poor, but we have to remember that gearbox is a big company, and the guys at gearbox who have done Duke Nukem are different to the ones at gearbox who are making Colonial Marines.

If anyone is familiar with gearbox though, then they will surely agree that Brothers in Arms was a superb game, graphically good and in depth. The MP was a let down, but that wsnt done by gearbox.

Also... AVP was for me a good game. A few minor let downs but that i cannot hold against gearbox as it was nothing to do with them.

Reviews so far are very very good though. Players of the E3 demo are giving it a huge thumbs up.

Granted though my views will be a little biased as i'm a huge Aliens fan.

You also have to realise that gearbox took on a game that was 60% complete anyway. I would never use Duke as a benchmark for any gearbox game - don't worry about it.

I'm emailing Sega after I've had some grub, booking a promo copy and getting my name known over there. Any cheeky questions you want putting across? I'll see what I can do. The worst they can do is ignore me :p

For anyone who's paid this game any attention over the years (i've paid it ALOT) then its common knowledge that the developers are HUGE fans of the Aliens film and the colonial marines. They want it to be as authentic as possible, its bisically looking so far like a game made for fans by the fans. Reviews are great thus far to which is a huge relief.

How do you get a promo copy? I would give my left leg to get one on the 360 for "testing purposes" even if its only a small 30 second demo!! I'd love to get hold of one.

Please ask about MP, we know of the 4 player co op (cannot wait!!) but what about other MP modes. They have been confirmed but no news of what they are.

And ask if they have a 360 "promo" disk going spare, to be used in the UK to

Many thanks.

I agree, I have that game. The triple chance to could control 3 breeds, 3 different combat style, was really interesting, is not really a common FPS, but much more than that, with close quarter combat, and ambush style for both Aliens and PREDATOR. Speaking about co-op modality is also good, a little limitated because scenaries but fun. In this new tie in, I expect a fine gameplay, improved under all the aspects, should be very great.

I don't trust them either, considered how they, he (Randy Pitchford ) completely wasted the Brothers in Arms saga license ( I were a fan of that long time ago). However, a game based on alien series still catch my eye no matter the developer is.

Yeah, Hell's Highway was a disappointment. Very patchy quality wise, far too short and not enough of a leap forward from the PS2 games. That trailer for the new one just cemented their failure.
