Default PCPilot mag full CLOD review (not in this post)

Following last issue's 'first look' review, they have done a much more detailed multi-page review of CLOD giving it 80/100

Great score, congrats MaddoxGames! The timing couldn't be better, with the North American release only 3 weeks from today.

Well, if youve ever read the mag its usually 99% Microsoft's FSX but theyve always regarded the il2 series highly. They did criticise CLOD where it deserves it at the moment, but I thought it was a fair and balanced review. Getting from 80 to say 95 % is a steep climb and should be in my opinion, but they felt the developers were heading the right way, if they read this forum they may not feel thats always the consensus - the review did remind everybody that the birth of most flight sims over the last 10 or so years was a difficult one, I dont think it was a biased review just a positive one!

Thanks. Maybe we have to wait for it to show on http://www.key.aero like the other article.

Tried to install from St34m. I get to the launcher but it only shows the The Lockheed Constellation as selectable.

Where is the Helicopter menu or the FSX for newbs!!

bugged!

Yes I know Luthier gave us 5th Annual Infantry Weapons 2011, but how about getting the article to work before giving us a brand new holistic approach to developments in the field of infantry weapons, addressing advances in both small arms and support systems.

but this? And No US release for IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover article!! whut?

80/100 seems a bit optimistic no?

Fair play for them achieving it and i dont know how they base their scores but ones things for sure it doesnt hurt the unpcoming release..

I just hope behind the scenes the Devs laugh at our moaning posts and whining nature for the mos part because this is all been trial and error and probing with these patches then all of a sudden we get the 'super' patch that puts everything to where it should be performance wise and gives us a stable sound platform..

reworked sounds and added content to follow...

I still have a little faith that this may be happening...i base this on the 3 week deadline for the U.S release and they wouldnt possibly dare to release the version we have now to another crowd of Beta testers..

just my 2 cents
