Training grounds for noobs

Hi all,

I recently purchased the game along with my buddy and we want to play some multiplayer matches together. We dont want to participate on the usual multiplayer servers though, we just want to practice starts, landings and maybe some coop vs AI (if this is possible). We dont want interference from others until we are good enough to play on regular servers.

So my question is: Can we start a private game to practice or do we have to choose from existing servers? Is it possible to play coop vs AI without downloading custom campaigns? We tried to start a private game but it didnt work- before I start diggin around, can somebody point me to a thread or a quick guide?

If you have real external IP go to Multiplayer >> Server to create a server for your friends.

If you are behind a router go to Multiplayer >> Lobby to do the same.
