Default Nachtjager-Wouldn't night fighters be cool?

Here's one for the wish list
Maybe I'm just too much of a geek but wouldn't it be awesome to have airborne radar and schrage musik modelled in COD sometime in the future? To be a WSO in the rear to guide your pilot to the target? Can't think of a WW2 sim that has tried it. Can't be any harder than modelling bomb sight gizmos.
check this out.

IL-2 1946 + Mods has already done it quite a while ago.

Yes, we had a SEOW with 110's against Lancasters, with ground radar to vector us to the Lancs, and WSO to bring the nachtjäger under the bellies of the heavies ... but flying in the black isn't so funny, IMO.

It would be really cool to have a 110 Nachtjäger with the Lichtenstein Radar and Schräge Musik in a future sequel.

I have just read the book "Duell unter den Sternen" (duel under the stars) from Wilhelm Johnen (the pilot from the second 110 landed at Dubendorf, mentioned in the linked Lichtenstein article), a very good read!
I have read the original german version of the book but there is also a translated english one.

Yes! Spitfires hunting down raider with the assistance of search lights would be cool!

S!

I can also recommend Paul Zorner's "Nächte im Bomberstrom - Erinnerungen 1920-1950".

On another note; What about the Boulton Paul Defiant in the Nightfighter role with a Merlin XX (1280 hp) and AI Mk IV Airborne Interception Radar?
