No sound whatsoever in game.

Okay, A forum search only gave me people that are having trouble with sound in multiplayer, but having sound in SP. However I have no sound in either mode, nor any background menu music. I do however get sound from the UBI video at startup.

Windows 7 x64
Asus G73H laptop
(which is
i7 Q720
8 gig 1333 ram
Some realtek sound with whatever motherboard this uses (i don't know sorry!)
ATI 5870 mobility (equivalent to desktop 5770 i believe)
Sound and game worked perfectly on release, but sound has no longer worked since the very first beta patch and onward.
Tried as of last official patch to delete and redownload to no effect.
