Velocity Stack Flame / Smoke Gone

In some earlier versions of the game you could see a belch of black smoke come from the velocity stacks when you cut the throttle. Now they are gone along with the subtle flames that came out of the stacks when at full throttle. Anyone else seeing / not seeing this?
