Problems with ground bombing

After having played Cliffs of Dover for three years I finally bought IL2 1946 a couple of weeks ago and now I’m trying to learn. My version is 4.12.2 with HSFX 7.03. I mostly fly bombers, and I’ve found a couple of problems: I’ve searched for an answer in the forum but I couldn’t find anything, so this makes me think that I’m making some really silly mistake.

The problem is that on ground attacks my bombs never explode. Everything seems fine dropping from altitude (I tested a B17 from 2000 m.), but in skip or shallow dive bombing I could never see any detonation. I used always low level fuses with 11 sec delay and tryed with different planes: Typhoon, Mosquito, A20, B25, P47, Dauntless and Me 410 but no way. I also tryed from different altitudes ranging from 30 to 300 m.. I’ve watched the training video and checked the controls but I couldn’t find any command for bombs’ arming as in CoD, the first thing that came in my mind. I’ve only found a key for “Toggle fuses mode” which works only in the german plane. I also tried with an "easy" configuration of weapons in the difficulty section without any result.

The second problem is with torpedoes: they don’t explode either. Once I’ve learned that they have to be released not so fast and not so high over the sea surface, I could finally see them leaving a beautiful trail to the enemy ship, but once there again no explosion Triste

Try your stock game v4.12.2 see if the bombs work ok.
