Default Il-2 Campaign - Waking of the Beast

After the first successful Il-2 1946 Campaign "The End of Clear Skies", a launch of a second campaign was inevitable. In this Il-2 Sturmovik: 1946 campaign, you'll fly as Soviet pilots in 10 breathtaking Co-op missions, each one of them providing an unforgettable experience for all the players who wish to join this campaign.

Waking of the Beast takes place in the Eastern Front. With Operation Barbarossa en route, the Germans are on their way to conquer our Homeland. It is up to the VVS (Soviet Military Air Force) to halt their advance through the air. Join either as fighter pilot or dive-bomber in order to obtain complete victory against the enemy.

Why no axis side to fly on? Wouldn't it be nicer to be shot down by humans rather than stoopid AI, right reds?

But seriously, our squad would be really interested to fly on the blue side. (Atleast after our current Tuesday campaign is finished.)

Hello mate,

The reason why there's no axis side to fly on is because balancing is impossible. Also it we had an axis side, there would always be uncertain and uneven numbers at each battle, for example, one evening the axis would have 15 pilots and the allied 10.

So it's much more simple to have all players concentrated in one side fighting together.
