How to make a minimap on Men of war Gem editor(retail version)

I'v asked alot of people and they don't seem to know how to help me with my problem. whenever i take a screen shot and go to documents/my games/ men of war to view it, its black ,..i really need to to start my mission editor but first i have to give my map a mini map.any help would be greatfull
