Well, that´s not a bug... Trees and grass don´t have material effects on planes, they´re just visuals (you cannot crash agains a tree, you just pass through it). The reason for this is that the computation requirements would be extraordinary for today computers...

Don´t know why the grass in some places is so long though

Ah, ok.
btw, I second you reagarding grass height : should be somewhat shorter so as to minimize this "passthru" side-effect.

Westerday, i landed on field with Tiger Moth, the tall vegetations slows the plane down, I was able to go out hardly until a road. (1.00.14305 patch)
