Process Affinity Mask

I did a clean install of the latest patch after clearing the cache, verifiying the integrity through steam, and deleting my conf.ini file. After rebooting my game created a default conf.ini and I ran the game in the same settings I always do. I noticed that the fps was lower by about 30%. Wen back into my conf.ini and saw the ProcessAffinityMask was set to 2, and defaulted OUT with a semi colon ;

I remove the semicolon and put it at 15 which is what it was before (2500K)

Rand game and back to full fps...

So, if you delete your conf.ini file you will need to reset that setting to get full core support..

Thats wierd, I did the same but it didnt affect my affinity mask setting, which is 15.

However I dont think it works for me. Im pretty sure it still taxes just the first core

which conf.ini did you delete? There are 2.

C:\Users\Username\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover
is the one to delete

It doesn't do anything for my Q9650 either. In fact I get a bit more stutter I believe with ProcessAffinityMask=15 OR =14 than just turning it off.

Yes, I know how it's supposed to work - just like Il2 - but for my system it doesn't really shift anything that I can tell - and I'm basing this off fairly precise benchmarks of TBD track.

Maybe it's an I5/I7 thing, I don't know.
