Default OT: Why are ppl yelling for DEVS attention?

Why does ppl carve for the devs/admins attention? i mean WRITING THEYRE FORUM NAME WITH BIG MEAN CAPSLOCK in the title ? dunno why but it bugs me and forumwise i see it as a type of non polite nag on spesific people.

why not just leave a request and see where it gets you in form of responses? no matter who responds, your allways/mostly getting good answers from the skilled/dedicated simmers inhabiting this forum be he a ADMIN or JUNIOR MEMBER.

guess this is kind of a stupid post but its allways nice to get stuff of your chest

IF you were a dev/admin, would you like 100+ PMs and several topic titles with your name written in caps everyday? dont think so

Yeah it's not like they have a guy in the office sitting reading the forums all day long shouting out new thread titles to the rest of the team as they work. All the issues that are actually issues will be known to them and I want them working not reading forums all day long! The weekly Roadmap thread is darn good communication if you ask me and that is the most you can expect.

I would guess its because a lot of info gets lost in the general forum clutter.

I agree entirely. One of the attention-seeking freaks sent me the PM in my sig. when I pointed out my feelings on the matter.

and its correct to ignore those 100+ PM's. Is that what you are saying ? i can asure you whilst you might not care and are content in your own ignorance. Dont lump the rest of us together with that analogy. guess your not a developer. or somone that cares about there good work.

your wrong, and the suggestion that it happens like that is the height of ignorance. Companies that feel the necessity to care explicitly will assign a communicator/forum moderator to the job. Probally someone that exists in another capacity (non development) at the company. whilst i understand there maybe language constraints. in this day and age that is no exscuse given the abbility to overcome the constraints.

so to be quite honest you are all wrong. Whilst this is my PoV, through the history of everything that was IL2 before cliffs of dover- i dont blame them for shying away in communicating with what is effectivly a shallow attention seeking community, especially those that whine and simply think they know more about WW2 than anyone else.

If they communicated more this post would not exist. the door swings both ways. and i believe with this post, the fact you have to opinionate yourself in one direction is a clear example of there being a communication problem. your post here is a direct mirror of the guy that wants the attention which to be frank is just as bad if not worse. how you can support a lack of communication is utterly inexplicable in my book. when communication is at the heart of everything. Unbelievable. but not so from this community.

we are all as passionate as each other here, where will we be if we kill that passion through devices like this thread suggests ??? shut up & put up is not my philosophy. my sig is my motto. mean well !

EDIT: After rereading this post, i edited this to let you know this is not meant against you "ali fish" it seemed like i was writing this text to you, attacking your viewpoint... its just a quote that i used to make my viewpoint of things

yep... this is a forum.. where we discuss things... a PM is as it says.. a private message... Do you want private messages from ppl you dont know everyday saying this and that must be changed?

open a thread with a decent title instead, wich explains in short words what your questions are.. and if the devs are in here and find the title interesting, i bet theyd take a look and maybe even leave you a response so you may feel special without using theyre name to get a response

A developer has the full rights to do as he pleases with his product.. wether we like it or not. and im pretty sure they have theyre hands full atm

(speculation: wonder if ubisoft released the game in europe as a beta to regenerate hardly needed funds for the upcoming U.S release)

anyone can attack me anytime. i love a debate. not an argument though. and contrary to popular belief, it is ok to be offended.

i cannot comment anymore on the hypothetical 100 pm's that probally dont exist. im just speaking from a principle. and i hope i have not been to harsh to you teejay. i dont even know you. i just didnt like the idea proposed. I do understand how you got to that idea though. And foremost i would like to encourage positive communications. because there are issues here clearly. if i spoke russian id love to do it myself.

True, but i think it's just an inevitable symptom of the crowdedness of this forum. Inevitable as in "there will always be some people who will react in this way".

I guess a forum as crowded as this could benefit a lot from crowdsourced moderation like the slashcode system used on slashdot. Without a method to focus on the most relevant posts the popular threads (which happen to be those with the most important topics) are basically useless after page one.

i am a member of another forum and well theres a few guys there that keep everyone in check both informativly and fairly. infact its damn well excepetional and exemplary how these guys handle themselves, and take harsh feedback on all subjects professionally. There products, There interests and its members. Any information is delivered clearly and concisely at the correct time with truth and honesty. If what was happening here happened over there well i perish to think.

I payed them through the principle of beta testing there product on day 1, I cant say i would have done that here with 1C ubisoft and the IL2 copyrights. However low & behold here we are....

Now here is the funny thing, they are also russian and also make top end flight simulators. Who'da thought. (palm to face) shock horror LOL. probally the most notable point here is that they got rid of ubisoft a long time ago and went on there own.

please note the phrase Exemplary in my comments. because that is what they are. Truth & honesty = the key to a succesfull outcome. Im proud to say they are at the top of my good developers book.

It can be similar although understandably different here. theres a formula to it that hasnt been taken into consideration.
