Default No trees :(

Hi all,

Even though I have my trees set to low I can't see any. Is it THAT low?

plus I have a decent fps but the lower I go, the more stutters I get
(with buildings= low)

GTX470, 6G RAM, i7-920, Win7 64 here.

Thanks!

This happens to me.

The tree configuration in game dont work sometimes, the game save the changes in the conf.ini located in your documents folder, but the game read the tree configuration located in the config.ini located in the Steam folder.

Goto your x:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover folder and open the config.ini, then set Forest=1

Edit :

Dont forget switch off the cloud syncronization in your Steam settings before.

I have the same issue, I have to set trees to off, ok it, then return to the video options and set them back to low, ok it again and then they will show up. I have to do this everytime I play.

yes same thing here when you set trees to low or very low. But I have done the same thing as Dano mentioned and it works most of the time.

Thats because you are all changing the wrong ini file

Hey reflected buddy good to see ya.

When steam cloud is disabled, that conf.ini inside the game folder is no longer read.

Go to My Documents / 1C SoftClub / il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover / conf.ini alter the line in there happy hunting all.

Remember if you turn off Steam Cloud, its the my Docs ini, turn on steam cloud, its the ini inside main game folder, but anyhow you cant alter the main game folder conf.ini with Steam Cloud on, cos it wipe return to default each time.

Well these changes you can do ingame and that's where I do the changes for these settings. I believe the OP is talking about the ingame settings too.

Though I think you are on the right track with the conf.ini, that´s where the problem is that the game doesn't save the changes properly, either because of steamcloud or because something in the gamecode itself.

It needs to be adressed from the dev. team. But atm it ain't the highest priority since there are more pressing concerns. They'll fix it soon enough.
