Default why do my landscape and buildings look S$#$T

After the last patch beta and official my buildings and landscape look like crap.Buildings start like painted roof on the ground and landscape textures just keep sort of unfolding right in front of me.

settings for buildings in game won't make any difference as for the landscape I have to max out everything to make it look reasonable
yotube

Any ideas???? Anything that can be changed in config to stop this?It drives me crazy

It was done to make it run faster on low end PCs as too many people were complaining on this forum.

To turn up the quality:

In video settings put Texture quality on Standard (it is the highest original setting) and Houses detail to High. Make sure you run at least medium landscape shadows.

Increase anisotropic filtering quality and texture filtering in your driver settings. Turn up mip-map detail level in video drivers.

You may also set visibilitydistance=4 in conf.ini iirc. And SSAO in game settings.

These are the settings I use but still no luck.No matter what settings I use buildings still look like 2D paited roofs on the ground untill the jump out in front of me. visibilitydistance does nothing,I tried 0-4 but can't notice any difference

You are right. With all my settings in HIGHEST, the image quality is worse than in the original "pre-patches" game. These guys are talking about changes which make all four cores take advantage and blablabla, but the truth is that, IMO, they are only reducing the image quality so that most PC's can play it.

This is the trade-off for having the Buildings Amount setting on low. If you put the setting higher (I have mine on the highest setting) you will see less pop-in as the game will render the buildings earlier.

Use the "Original" texture setting with SSAO off
and it should be ok for good frame rates.
If not do an integrity check with Shteam on the files for your newly patched CoD

Yes KG 26 is right. Had the same problems but disabling SSAO game runs very well.

If you look at the pic of my settings i have SSAO off and use "original" setting.Turning buildings to unlimited still didn't get rid of those 2D buildings.Game runs fine I get 20 FPS over London in SP mission but it looks crap.Look at the pic with Hurricane ,even landscape is all blurry and it looks like it's rolling in front of me when I fly. This started since last patch before thet it was perfect. Maybe 5-10 patches and I will be able to just fly and enjoy nice view like I do in ROF
