I've seen a lot of people asking and asking and asking whether or not this game is 64bit. Well, I will tell you now
Evidence: I have 6GB of RAM Set the game to very high Look at my Logitech G15 CPU/RAM display 79% Ram used over london which is 4.74GB of 6GB 27% for windows which is 1.62GB 4.74GB - 1.62GB = 3.12GB Which is the limit that a 32Bit gives the user. Based on that alone, I think the game is CAPPED at that not necessarily a 32bit program. Your thoughts? |

Hmm.
12 Gb Ram Game set on very high, but not building/tree's. I used task manager to view RAM usage. 58% RAM usage over London, 6.96Gb of 12Gb. Exited CoD, 19% RAM usage, 2.34Gb. CoD therefore used: 4.62Gb |

I'd say it takes advantage of what ever it see's. Obviously cannot see much on 32bit.

Dev team isn't saying nothing bout 64bit. I'm guessing there would not be a 64bit .exe. Dcs a-10 had both 32bit and 64bit exe's early in the beta stage. Don't you have to write the game for 64bit from the beginning? Any programers here?

64bit os isn't limited like this but a 32bit application would still be, so in theory could use at most 4GB Also doesn't the exe report it's 32bit WOW in task manager? (not at home right now so can't check). |

Although the devs haven't said anything, it does look like it's designed for 64 bit. |

What we have learned from how 1C responds ( or not) to embarrassing questions should tell us were it is going...
![]() In every "patch update" thread Luthier wrote, the 64 bits question has been raised from members witout any feedback from Luthier...No mention either in his 7 point steps toward technical glory about 64 bits...Never heard anything from Oleg nor Luthier about 64 bits...But is it really essential for future developpement ? If it is, it would have been a risky decision from 1C not to include 64 bits in the code ... ![]() Salute ! |

How does it look like it's designed for 64 bit?

I think that is overly simplistic to assume that you can simply subtract those numbers to find out what cod was consuming. What is the actual process using in task manager / process explorer?
