Hi Tanner, ive got a key set to it, but when i press the key it just doesnt do anything...i really dont understand how it works, thought you may have to do something with the the dead zones and then it would work say like the P47 in the old il2 donno m8, im just totally confused with the new game gotta do a lot of reading on it lol

in my limited experince so far only the 109 and Spit II has WEP.
the 109 is easy, map a button, WEP wil be engaged and disanges after 1min automaticly.

the Spitfire you have to "remove" the safety from the throttle...you can do that by mouse or a button. THAN you can push the lever more forward and you will get ~9lb/sqin boost instead of 6 (IIRC)

the Hurricanes has also this function. it looks just different , its a red nob you can pull out. BUT, at least i could not manage to get a higher boost after that action.

In the RAF aircraft is "Boost Cut out" there is a dedicated Keybindings slot for it.

yep
and the throttle realy moves more forward if the cut out is activated , and backward if you deactivate it - it just gives no more boost on the boost gauge.

I for one thinks that the possibility to have wep on an axis implies that
it should be possible to have the throttle banded. By that I mean to have
the first part before detent to idle/cut out and then to have 10% to 90%
of the band as throttle and the last 10% after detent as WEP.

Currently it's not possible to do that in the configuration but that is what
I'd wan't it to be like.

Set WEP in throttle axis - in Position (Il-2:CloD manual - pag. 44-45)

Quote:
Throttle. This controls the throttle of the selected engine or engines.
The axis has additional controls for Sensitivity, 0% position, 100% position,
Max Position
, and Dead Zones at 0 and 100%.

Sensitivity...

Dead zone...

Position. These additional controls are given only for the Throttle axis.
The need to set 0, 100 and Max positions for the Throttle is due to the
fact that many aircraft in the game have War Emergency Power available,
which allows you to push the throttle past 100%. Therefore, the 100%
physical position of the throttle lever is mapped to a 110% position of
the in-game control. The additional fine-tuning allows you to set exactly
where the 100% position is in relation to the Max%.
In ConfUser.ini are this:

Quote:
[HotKey pilot]
Shift Up=elevatort_nup
.
.
.
W=thtl_110
W=thtl_wep
