Obviously not everything is perfect, it hasn't even been released in the states yet, and I've got a fairly decent PC, but I am loving it. It looks amazing, and performance on my PC is ok. I selected Very High settings and flew with about 5 other spitfires against 9 HE-111s (fighting was over sea) and flew around shooting with an average fps just over 30.
Unfortunately my pedals don't work with a 64 bit OS, so I flew twist stick rudder, which was a nightmare. I had to switch complex engine management off, and shooting anything down was very difficult (mainly TrackIR and rudder issues). But given that it's just been released, I'm very happy with the performance, which I guess puts me in a bit of a minority. Win 7 64 bit i7 930 @ 4GHz AMD 6970 6GB ram Basic HDDs |

now create the same mission over land
![]() ehnieway, i like your enthusiasm. the first time that i played today, and i agree it's great. Sure some patches here and there, but i see some huge potential I really like to take-off with a hurricane from a grass field. the plane really bumps around reallistically. it's just that damn stuttering. I really think that should be a priority for the devs. |

I'm enjoying it as well. Takeoff and landing feels really good now. The way the aircraft move on a bumpy field looks great.
The game has many positives. Gunnery is fun and satisfying when you hit ![]() Some things are missing or feel incomplete but this development team earned my respect with IL-2 when they gave us so many free variants, maps and updates over each products life cycle. It's a shame they pushed CoDo out when they did, but they don't have a track record of abandoning their creations. So, if any team deserves a chance to set it right I think they do. |

Now create a custom quick mission to fly as a spit against a bunch of stuka's..oh wait..you cant do that either.

That's easy, select a current mission that has ground attack aircraft. Double click the aircraft you want to change and select them. Change the number of the aircraft if you want a bigger fight (or smaller). Click the pilot icon for which side you want to fly for. Save the file if you don't want to do this every time.

Early days yet, early days.
It's good to see it out and on the tracks. I patiently await it getting up to speed. It will be a ride!

I love it too...
Sure the first flight on my old E8400@3.3Ghz with a 275GTX card and 6Gb memory did prove that it's on it's way out in just a week or two, but with some optimizing the game will be awesome. Having flown quite a bit aerobatics myself it's a joy to take the Moth up over water (to have fluent fps) and do some hammerheads etc. Try doing that in IL2 and you will cry. Take the spit and to a tailslide... Feels like it should and not some fudgy stuff like in IL2. |

+1. This game is going to be just fantastic after a couple more patches.

I'm enjoying it too. Feel like I should be getting more out performance wise etc.
I've flown around, given a Do17 a damned good thwacking, landed at an airfield I couldn't identify and didn't wreck the aircraft!! ![]() And do you know what made me feel right at home in a 1946-stylie? That Do17 was heading for the drink, it had obviously 'had it', when my AI wingman came in and finished it off... ![]()
