It was one of the reasons the epilepsy filter was introduced in the first place.

And in real life the propeller isn't visible from the cockpit. If you have doubts, look at a small running electric fan with your eyes and then at/through the screen of your digital camera. You clearly see the effect on the camera, but not with your own eyes.

I think you would see SOMETHING especially when you throttle down? Helicopter blades aren't invisible even if your up close to it, there's not even a hint of anything.

Helicopter blades rotate at a MUCH lower rpm than aircraft props.

Are the props there when the plane is on the ground with the engine is off?

If you're in the air the wind speed may be turning the props for you.

Just seen this video posted on Youtube:

Shows the props at low RPM but they disappear at high. He's also got it running quite nicely although that's a pretty high end system.

the prop only looks like that in the video because it is being filmed. the camera is only at most 60fps more likely its 25 fps which is what is causing that effect.

Keep in mind that the FPS in videos makes fast motion movement (especially that of blade movement) not how it looks in real life. It is how we get videos of what looks like to be a helicopter hovering and other various effects.

Edit: Was beat to it
