Default Video: how to start a MP sever from your PC

I do not know if this MP sever showed up on the sever list.

I had to do this in order to even be able to get in the sever MP game myself.

Feel free to add a comment if this is right or wrong.

Thanks,

flyer01

If you add -server to launch parameters the game will launch in dedicated server mode that looks like a dos window. There is a thread on dedicated server in this section. I prefer launching it with a shortcut to launcher.exe that has -server added to command line not through changing Steam launch options. In this way you can launch client at the same time and join your own dedi server.

If you want to run a server from game interface in Multiplayer >> Server as you do, you do not need to add -server to launch parameters.

Thanks for the in put Ataros.

I will give that a try.

Could you copy and paste your launcher.exe that has -server added to command line?

Create Windows shortcut that points to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\Launcher.exe" -server
