Default Quick introduction to the Solomons map

Download and enjoy.

If you see a "Data file corrupt" error, it's because you didn't select the new map before loading the xx-henderson.quick file.

Nice map, and an action-packed couple of quick missions, was just watching the AI, will have to play it myself later, thanks for that.

Hi!

I may be a little bit retarded here, (it's probably due to all the drinking of "Akkevitt" during X-mas) but I don't get it to work. I see no "Solomones" or "BW_Slot 42"-map in the Quick Mission Builder.

First time I tried, I got the "Data file corrupt", while the second time it started with the Bessarabia map. The third time I chose Slovakia Winter for fun, and it started with that one too. But I can't choose Solomones. What have I done wrong?

I don't know, did you follow the installation and loading instructions included with the map and missions?

1. Close IL-2 1946 program.
2. extract (unzip) folders "Missions" & "Quicks" into your "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946" folder.
3. Open IL-2 1946 program, click "Quick Mission Builder", select new map "BW_Slot42".
4. Load quick mission "us-henderson.quick" or "ja-henderson.quick"
5. Click "Fly"
6. Enjoy your first big battle in The Slot.

I didn't install it that way myself, preferring to extract to a new folder on my desktop and then move the files manually, but those steps above (and the folder structure of the files themselves) tell you where everything should go.

Hi!

I did it the way you did, unzipped the files and then moved them manually.
Maybe I should unzip it again.

In your IL1946 folder find the following two folders:-

First - 'Missions' - in this you will find another folder named 'Quick' ......drop the 'BW_Slot 42' Folder into the 'Quick' folder.

Second - 'Quicks' folder in which you drop the henderson.quick files

After a few festive drinks its easy to get the 'Quick' and 'Quicks' folders mixed up ..........

When you go into QMB you should see the BW-Slot 42 as a map and the henderson missions available to load

The Solomons maps are accessed through the FMB.
