Default Approved Modding aspects

There have been discussions of COD (previously when it was known as SOW) being designed to facilitate 3rd party Modders in certain aspects...I think skinning was one such aspect....map modding/building being another.

Has there been any detailed announcement from 1C clarifying what is OKAY and what is Verboten?

Just curious...

Now, this one is pretty easy:

If you hack the code, it's illegal.

If you use the official modding-tools, it's most likely ok
