If the lack of steam requirements is true for the retail release then you should be fine, however if it does require steam you will need to wait for finlands release date or trick steam into thinking your in Russia

Could you give us some info when you get hold of it and post videos asap

Hmm. Wonder how fast I could get a visa to russia. Train to St Petersbug shouldn't be more than 3~ hrs or so

Maybe even book a quick evening flight to meet Oleg in Moscow!

I have preordered it from Steam already, but if i get it from russia it takes time too, so it is really worth to buy couple of game and i win maybe 2 days and maybe even not working

31.3 is release in Finland with steam.

RoF boxart and installer was in Russia but game itself was English

Some friends have bought digital Russian version. Tomorrow we will kniow if it works in EU.

P.S.: even if it will work, I am almost sure it will only have Russian GUI.

Russian shops say "Language: Russian" in descriptions without any other languages mentioned.

Also, think about this: digital Russian versions costs around 10€ and DVD around 14€. Certainly, there should be some method used for protection of other markets, or no one would buy it for something like 3-4 times more , if it worked fine everywhere in the world and the GUI was in English.

yep, i byed RoF from russia and it cost me 14€ but it was in english.

It was a DVD version, cannot by it from Russia digitally with my Visa.

So how many wants to fix it from Russia in DVD version, if you safe 30€ because launch date is close everywhere, RoF lauched in Russia very much before than other countries, this is reason why my friend fix it to me when coming to Finland, not the price.

And it had only 2 planes. Western version was more expensive, but had 4 planes. In fact, the difference in price was the cost of those 2 planes.

In other words, RoF used "one world, one price" as they called it, so there was completely no reason to make different versions for different regions. I personally think, that they lost lots of players from CIS countries in this way.

It is different with CoD, because the price of Russian version is very different, despite the same content.

Games are much cheaper in Russia than other countries, they are also usually released different packaking, they are likely Music CD packaking, not DVD shelfs.

Anyway, we see today what is a game language and videos hopefully too.
