Default Question from a new guy

Hi everyone,

I just discovered this game today (I don't know how I missed it, actually. I love WWII flying type games). Anyways, I was just curious as to whether this was a game worth getting, from the looks of it it certainly seems to be. I just want to make sure before going out after work tomorrow to grab it. Thanks guys!

Yes, Yes and yes! This is the best WWII flight Sim ever made on PC and or console. You won't be disappointed if you grab it!

Well that sounds promising! I've seen around from what I've been reading that damage and stuff is quite realistic, like engines getting shot but giving out a few minutes later and bullet holes sticking around and etc etc. I'm getting all excited just thinking about it. I think you've sold me on it though, sir.

get it! It's super fun! And never get old! Every dogfight is different against other human beings. I like playing that specially online, against and in coop with other players. Best sim game on consolle ever for me!

Best entertainment investment I have ever made.
Great game, super community (ps3) and an upcoming sequel to add to the fun.

Ps:
It will crash your personal life in RL, but its worth it

It's a blast to play and there is a great community of fans that keep the multiplayer alive and well. Tips from Slothboy:

1. Play the campaign on Realistic
Most online lobbies are in Realistic mode. Sometimes we'll play the odd Sim game and those are fun too, but most of the time you will find folks playing Real. Playing that way all the time will get you used to the flight characteristics so you can compete. Completing the campaign (on any difficulty) also unlocks several "go to" planes that will keep you on an even playing field once you go online.

2. Adjust your sensitivity!
In arcade mode it is virtually impossible to stall. In Realistic mode the flight characteristics of each plane are different so it is VITAL that you go into options and adjust the ELEVATOR sensitivity based on your plane. You can generally leave the Ailerons alone. Ideally you want to be just on the edge of stalling out in a tight turn.

3.FRIENDS!
The only way to find games with any certainty online is to fill up your friends list with "bird people". When you get in a multiplayer lobby with players you haven't met, send everyone a friend request. Most everyone online is more than happy to add another player to their list. And don't be bashful about joining lobbies that are "preparing for flight" or joining parties of people playing birds. We are always happy to have another player!

4. Ask questions
I can't stress enough that the community makes this game awesome. If you are in a match and you don't know what the objective is, just ask. If you don't know the sensitivity for the Hurricane and you keep stalling, ask! If you pop into a lobby feel free to just say "what are we doing?" in case folks are setting up a period match or a Axis Vs Allies or something. We're a chatty bunch and we all know the game is more fun when everyone is on the same page and flying well.
