Default is ythsi true? DCS and BOB !?

EIDT:
--------FAKE NEWS, still hero for enjoyment of the community, i guess------------

just picked this up at my squad homepage, havent seen any thread about this, neither does it states a source on it, check it out:

http://www.escuadron69.net/v20/

english:
Could not be. Despite great efforts, Oleg Maddox will not be ready the Pharaonic project, Storm of War: Battle of Britain, if not foreign aid. In this regard, and upon request from Oleg money for the project simulator World War II a few months ago, is now Eagle Dynamics, developer of Lock On, Flaming Cliffs, DCS: Black Shark, and DCS: A-10C , the company completed this complex project.

Apparently, this issue would have become a subject much discussed at some levels (as we reported a trusted source), and have taken steps, and pressures to Oleg accept help from his fellow Russians to ED. Of course, the help will not be free, the graphics engine of Storm of War will be used for the next draft of DCS, which is neither more nor less than the F-15E. DCS: F-15E is already in development, and lead the way to fly online as a pilot or navigator, so that each virtual pilot will be in the cabin for front and rear respectively. If flying alone, a cabin would be managed by the IA. It is said that the USAF itself would be providing information to ED, and that future could include new aircraft, including F-14 and possibly the F-16C. A dynamic campaign that simulates a confrontation between great powers is estimated as very possible. It is also known that the Su-30, two-seater advanced variant of the Su-27, is in an alpha stage of development.

The graphics engine binding Storm of War and the level of DCS: F-15E is expected to be a new evolutionary step. Of course, this means that Storm of War: Battle of Britain is delayed at least two years. ED obviously give priority to projects compared with those of Oleg Maddox, and this will lead to IL-2 remains in the hard drives as the only way to fly planes in the thirties and forties.

No doubt these are great news that will be discussed in forums Comment simulation. We believe that this is good news, despite the delay of Storm of War, which stretches but in ensuring their arrival. We will continue this news with great interest. We're looking forward to get their hands on the F-15E.

From the latest interview with Oleg

"Presentation "WT" to "Igromir" has made some adjustments to the project? Организационные, финансовые, какие то еще. Organizational, financial, what else.

-В общем-то, нет, ни каких корректив она не внесла. Все шло и идет по плану. -In general, no, nor any adjustments it has made. Everything was going and going according to plan.
"

So I'ld say no!

Doesn't make much sense to me. ED are doing just fine with gradually updating their own engine, switching to a new one would be a major undertaking way beyond their current development approach. And the F-15E rumor ist just that, a rumor.

But I guess the usual doomsday prophets will love this theory

Maybe It was already in the plan

On a second thought after reading Kraken's post it could indeed just be a rumour because ED has it's own modern engine and after seeing what they achieved in A10 so far is very good, their efforts will go to waste when they will step to another engine.

I don't believe a word of it, even if Oleg made a contract to work with DCS or anyone else, it wouldn't delay SOW another two years at this point.
