Default TV Question

Anyone of our fine, intellligent, PS3/Xbox obsessed community (myself included, of course) utilizing a plasma television. I'm looking at a Panasonic Plasma S2 series (middle of the pack in Panasonic hierarchy). Doesn't knock me out for regular television watching, but I've heard it is awesome for gaming, blu-ray, etc. And you can get the monster mombo giant screen for not a lot of bucks. Any thoughts appreciated. Thx.

I use a 10 year old, heavy, cube. The quallity is terrible, can't read most writing on it. Get a new TV if you have a bad one.

Yeah....that's the idea. Looking at a Plasma for the size vs cash ratio. Wanted to know if anyone had one and liked it because i've not yet seen a plasma/ps3 combo in person.

If you're tight on bucks, you could always get an older HD Rear Projection TV. I have a 55" one that's about 9 years old that I got really, really cheap (free from friend of mine) and it works pretty good on games and regular tv watching.

You can find some good deals on them if you look around. Craigslist usually has a bunch of 'em.

I mean.. mine is so horrible! Imagine static while your trying to look for a plane on Sim. Thats what I get, static lines and dots all over. To top it all off their are vodka stains, bread crumbs, and dust all over it. I can afford it for sure I'm just too lazy. So this is my excuse for having a average 20 deaths per Sim game.

You can't go wrong with vodka stains and bread crumbs...the dust you could probably do without.

Howdo mate,

I've a Sony Bravia II 200Hz which whilst not plasma is pretty damn good.
That said the girlfriend has a 52" Plasma Panasonic and I played red dead on that last week and was pretty impressed.

Hi Chow.

I dunno sheitz about TV tech, but I know one thing fore sure, dont get a crappy one if u gonna play alot. Put money in it or u will only be sorry after.

I got a 42 lcd " Phillips "dunno" hrz, its only 2 years old and should be ok but the lack of brightness, sharpness and slow speed of screen update pisses me of.
This is a major problem whilst flying and looking around since the screen update is laggish and blures out. I am constantly trying to optimize its performance.
