Default Stalingrad : Deep Raid Help?

Hi, so I'm moving along pretty well, I recon the airfield, but then it asks me to destroy some vehicles on the "Streets of Stalingrad". Are these the vehicles on the airfield that they show in the cutscene? Would they be by the way point marker?? If not, where do I find what they want me to target?

Default Stalingrad

My street targets were hard to distinguish. They were fairly close together & coloured red. Once you spot them they are easily wiped out with a couple of passes. I'm a novice at these games!

Thats where I left off the other night. You have to leave the airfields and break towards the city. Watch out the 109s might come after you. over the city there will be a ton of targets. like he said above me they are hard to distinguish....i bombed/rocketed a crap load of them only to run out of time. So I will be back there soon....

That's the problem. I destroyed, 23 then 27 then 42 targets-still didn't complete the objective. There has to be certain key targets that we need to destroy, but I'll be hornswoggled if I can find which ones I'd love to hear from an experienced player on this!

You have to destroy the yellow targets. The red targets mean nothing. When you get to Stalingrad, the Spanish pilot greets you and then the tanks appear, and they move around on the map a bit.

I guess you're using simulation mode, which is good because without it you'd probably just know by memory where the tanks are from arcade or realistic. Instead you get the chance to actually have to fly past the target, ID it, and keep your eye on it as you climb, turn and make an attack run.

Problem is, the tanks are damn hard to find aren't they. Well they should be, they're smack in the middle of a ruined city and they have plenty of places to hide. If there's a row of trees or a building with half a roof they'll drive under it, and you can hear them fire but can't see them. Well don't give up, they're not ALL hiding. This may spoil the challenge, but there are 2 or 3 tanks in the open right on the northeast end of the cluster. One of them is at an intersection at the west end of a patch of mostly wooded land between the streets and the Volga. Look for an AA gun on that patch of land (knock it out if it's hostile, I can't remember) and the easiest tank is almost due west of it. Fly low and to the side of that northeast section of streets, look out the window to the side while dipping your wings. Once you spot the tank, use the road it's on like a runway: extend away parallel to the road, keep it in sight, then turn and head back at about a 30 degree attack angle. Use a bomb to kill the tank. You only actually have to get one tank.

After that some fw190's may appear and almost kill you, there's no avoiding it. They tell you to lose them before you go back to base, but you can't lose them. Just fly low and go back to base.

Holly....just beat it and it was pretty easy (this time!!!)... only thing is enter stalingrad from the NORTH! i was entering ( i am playing xbox 360 arcade) in the middle and it NEVER showed me the Yellow targets. So, i ran up and down the city blasting every red target i could see and "failing...taking too long"....but like in the post before its the several yellow ones you need (but you wont see them unless you enter the city at the right place). Tonight, I reconed the airfield and destroyed the ack ack with rocket barrages and the got word to head to the city. evaded the 109s and entered it from the NORTH and low and behold there were these lovely yellow targets. several passes with rockets and bombs knocked them out and i was ordered to land at the airfield. juke your way there @ 2 to 300 ft...dont fly straight line or level altitude. the 109s will eat your ass if you do....once you get close to the river "MISSION COMPLETED".

Thanks again everyone, I was able to complete the mission, only to get mired in the "Hornet's Nest". I expect I'll be in there quite awhile from the way it's going...lol (any and all advice appreciated, and yes, I've seen the thread)
