Isu-152, because it has a good gun and firing arc. More importantly, its Russian.

Im not one for Assault guns but the very few times ive used them the Elefant has been the only one ive seen that I really liked at all. Its got good armor, a decent gun plus, most importantly to me is it is the only AG that has any gun traverse at all. I played w/ the Jagdpanther on "The Trap" and it was there that I really reminded myself why I hate AG's. That TD couldnt traverse its gun left or right at all....then knock off its track and its screwed totally. The Jagd has like 2 degrees of gun traverse. Ive also used the JagdTiger and it just loads to slow plus it is soooooo slow I could out run it crawling w/ 2 broken arms and no legs.....

Jagdtiger is nice if you manage to protect the tracks.

EDIT: And SU-100.

Archer

17 pounder, cheap, faster in reverse than many tanks in forward gear, very low profile

If I didn't have a choice between something Russian, I would choose the Hummel.

Its not a option to choose on this poll, but the Hummel is good, turretless, and can take out almost any type of fortification and armor. Its got armor, tracks, and a good gun. However, it hogs fuel and has a slow reload time. It also has only 18 rounds of 152mm shells. Its cannon is a sFH 18. The sFH18 has more ammo, but it just isn't mobile enough. I prefer to fire a round, and get out quick.

I was messing around today, and when I went to try out the German artillery, I compared the Hummel and the sFH18. The sFH18 artillery piece has more ammo, but isn't mobile enough. It is best fit for defense. I'm a guy who strictly believes that to defend one must offend. So, I prefer the Hummel. Mobile, has a machine gun in the front hull, 152mm HE round. Enough to crush armor in. The Hummel is just good.

Hmm... not sure which Hummel you are thinking of... the Hummel does not have a machine gun in the front hull and it is a selp-propelled artillery vehicle...

My favorite vehicle is the Jagdpanzer IV. Excellent gun (same as the Panther) which is capable of knocking out any enemy vehicle it encounters, low profile and good frontal armor and much cheaper to get than for example, the much more popular Jagdpanther.

Just too bad that the STuG III Ausf. G ain´t included in the game, then my answer would have been a different one.

The Hummel doesn't have one in game, but in real life I'm sure it did. Unless of course the MG was only part of a modification.
It is a turretless tank, and should be up here like the Isu-152. They are both self-propelled artillery, but at the same time turretless.
