Maybe you're just missing the game starts? Probably the wave of enthusiasm after the patch has passed too...

I think the MAG beta had a big impact. Loads of people are playing that.

There are lots of European players on line. You just gotta be on when they are. I am on central US time and they are 6 hours ahead of me. If its 6pm there, it's noon here. I am lucky to be on 2nd shift at work so I get home and play with some buddies till 2 or 3am, then get up and play with Europe for a couple hours before work. My wife works 1st shift so she is either asleep or at work. My kids are grown so I'm "home alone". Am I blessed or what?

Yes! I remember! Well, I bought a stick and moved up to sim and haven't looked back. I don't play arcade anymore. I haven't for about 2 months. Some of my buddies still use the Sony controller and are good with it. Some of the best aces on this forum use it so a stick isn't really a necessity. One of my buddies is on the east coast as well. I get on around 1am your time but my bros are on earlier. Several of them on the west coast and a couple in Canada. If you want to fight like real men, come on up!! We'd be glad to have you and I'm sure you would catch on quick. We have 2 new guys and they are really doing great. So don't worry about getting schooled. We all do (I got my ass kicked this afternoon-6 deaths 0 kills before work). All it takes is practise!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll love it!!!!!!!! More guys keep coming all the time, so come on and play with us.

There seems to be a healthy number of players in arcade and simulator modes on the 360 recently, with a new influx of new players.

I've started playing simulator mode with the Bf-109 G-10 which I really have to try very hard to make freak out and I fly with everything set to 100%.

I still haven't managed to make a G-10 spin despite deliberate attempts to do so. It is just so much faster, turns betters, handles better and is so stable when shooting I can see why they had it as the 100 kill unlock for the Bf-109 lineup.... they saved the best till last.

Like all Bf-109s, it is still a bastard to land squarely on both wheels.

I switch between whatever modes quite happily, though not many players seems to be able to cope or like flying in simulator (loosing control and crashing) or arcade (don't know dogfight aerobatics).

The game is becoming more and more popular.
