Problem with starting

I've downloaded king's bounty: the legend about a week ago.
Everything worked fine untill yesterday... suddenly it just wouldn't start when I double-clicked the icon.

But when I came back 5 minutes later I noticed that it did react but just VERY slowly. So I was at the menu and decided to test the game speed wich was terrible.

It took about 5 minutes to get to the main menu...
Does anyone know what the problem might be and what I can do to fix it.

It is very hard to say about your problem without additional info. Please post full system specs and version of the game. Did you update any drivers recently?

If it worked .. its either hardware or system problem not the game itself in my opinion

I don't think I have recently updated any drivers, and the version i play is 1.6.4.
( I mailed the system specs)
