Default iPhone: IL2/BoP Hanger

Was just thinking it would be cool if there were an application for the iPhone for us IL2 fans!
Here are my thoughts:

• A hanger of sorts such as in BoP with models of aircraft to gaze at
• Details on these aircraft such as stats, payloads etc.
• An/The encyclopedia, with all that cool info
• Could coincide with a patch/update or new DLC to reign in some deserters

Well I'd pay a few dollars for it...

What you guys think?

Oh and let's not make this an "iPhone sux" topic!!!

Wow.

I dont mean to sound rude, but thats a rather pointless application. I mean, why? Why not use the hanger in the game? Or the data on this forum? How many people would use it? I dont think the time invested in creating such an app would have any profit at all. Maybe with the sequel, definatly not with BoP.

Oh and by the way, the iPhone "sux".

of course, negative negative negative
some people actually use iPhones away from home, I don't usually carry a generator, a tv and my PS3 around with me
there really wouldn't be much time invested, most of the data already exists
and fine, maybe with a sequel, hence the forward slash between IL2 and BoP on the title

oh and by the way, my iPhone is better than you, heh heh

one can also not ignore the advertising power, and if anything needed advertising it was BoP, out of 5 big game retailers in my town there was a grand total of 1 copy of the game between all of them

Advertising would not save this games ass, it was the amount of bugs that deterred the gamers that are not willing to tolerate the glitches that come with porting a game over from PC to consoles. People just dont realise how much of a step forward this is!

I dont have an iPhone so yours is better than mine

But I mean seriously the demand for such an app would first have to come from a high demand for the game itself. Which we can agree, there is next to none.

I just played a game online with a guy that had rented the game for 5 days, been trying endlessly to play online for 3 of them, and had only just had his first battle online then!

And I quote (roughly): "I was like trying for the last 3 days but everytime it said the servers were down or broken or some shit".

Ah well, next time round I'm sure IL-2 will be (more)incredible (for those non-hardcore-flight-sim-fans).

Oh agree about not saving it now but it could have
better advertising = more sales = increases publisher interest in game = faster patching/updating ( well I'd hope anyway!!)

let's just hope they so a better job with birds of prey 2 : the pacific (educated guess)
