oke so I just started my first online battle capture the airfield with 8 people.
and I was doing not so well I didnt shoot a single plane down well I damaged one fair enough but he chrashed himself aftherwards. I got shot down 3 times. So I think I need some advice how to shoot down planes with me
Bf-109. Where to aim when flying because I wouldt even shoot down a stuka trying to land on our airfield I was playing on sim.

You'll have to lead the target a bit (aim in front of it). Single player and/or Arcade are a good way to practice this, since in Arcade you'll see an indicator of where to aim to hit the target. You'll get a good idea where to aim after a while. Which 109 are you using? Some aircraft have more tracers, which makes it easier to aim, since you can see well where your bullets are going.

I was just in that game with you, unfortunately a couple of your players quit leaving you well and truly outnumbered.

Dont worry to much about the JU87 either, they are not easy to shoot down at all!! far to much armour on them.

Its basically trial and error. Wait until you get a good angle and close enough to open up where your gauranteed to hit. With the 109 you have some heavy duty cannons to. You'll soon pick it up. Just stay away from the stuka for now

As much as I hate to say this.. But, play a few "Arcade" so you can see where the leading target site is.. It isn't there with Realistic or Sim (and it shouldn't be), but Arcade it is, and it will give you an idea as to where you need to aim. If you aim at an airplane, of course, by the time your bullet gets there, the plane will be gone so you will miss it. In single player, set yourself up a few matches in "training".. Do it in arcade to see where you need to aim.. then go to realistic and apply what you learned in arcade.

Another food for thought however, in multi player.. I shouldn't be giving advice in dog fighting, since that is not my strong suit, but, I "get it" even if I myself aren't that good.. BUT, I have gotten more hits, and even a decent amount of kills if I lead my target even more than you are supposed to. If you figure out how much to lead a target in single player, you need to add some in multi player. I found in some cases, it is as much as 50% more lead than in single player. I am assuming this is due to compensate for "lag" on line... But, experiment around with that... It has helped me allot.

That's a top tip - I've found that leading the lead marker in arcade is actually a lot more successful than aiming directly at it.

I played my first propper online game last night, dogfight on sim...
It was 3 if us, I was In a hurricane, one if them was in a 109g(which I don't have yet) and I cannot remember the other guys.
I got a kill in the first minute and thought "cool, I'm good at this" buy sadly that was my only victory, the guy in the 109 absolutly tore me and the other fellow to pieces!
We were in the ardennes and i had alot if trouble spotting the others as the battle took place at tree level, all credit to this guy he played magnificently, hehe although I made him follow me in a few times!
After another poor game by me I ended up in an arcade game, and wow, it was awful, 6 guys all zooming around ridiculously, putting a hundred bullets into one another with no result, I absolutely hated it, my worst experience in the game so far, heroes over Europe has more multi playability than arcade in BoP!
So I will stick to at least realistic, which sux as a I struggle to find games, let alone non arcade ones.
In closing, all hail sim mode, even though I was brutally annihilated it was so much fun!

The last few nights we have been playing games on sim mode with 10+ players in the room each time. The majority are regulars from here, you'll find if one joins the room and then you sned invites out it will soon fill up. Next time we play (tomorrow prob) we'll be sure to send an invite your way

Before even thinking about sending you an invite..... are you on the 360? If so then you'll get the invite

If not, then the best bet would be to post for PS3 players, they will soon come to your aid.
