"The difference between Visa Electron and Visa Debit is that payments with Visa Electron require that all the funds be available at the time of transfer, i.e., Visa Electron card accounts may not be overdrawn."

Yes, I was lazy and wiki'd that

My card is Visa Electron and it works, so I'd guess yes it will.

are you getting that message before you input all your credit card info or when you are trying to save it?

Sounds more like psn messing up rather than your card

From searching it seems like this is a common problem, on the ps boards the people who finally get it working say the problem was with the address, I know I had the same problem when I added my card, its some new security feature sony put in place.

Be careful not to try it too many times, i guess it will lock you out for 24 hours after you try 10 times.

All the solutions i have found they just say input your card/billing info exactly as shown, even if they are caps, and you may not have to use the second line where its marked as address line #2 if your credit card has it all listed on one line.

The problem i had with mine was the damn ps keyboard kept putting a blank space after each of my entries, maybe thats what yours is doing for the address, so basically it just has to be EXACTLY as shown on your credit card, or its a no go.

Goodluck!

ive never been locked out but from what i read online people have said they recieved a message they are locked out, or didnt know they were locked out until they contacted sony customer service.

The only other things i have read was just to delete and re-enter all your psn ID info, then input your credit card info and that worked for some people, but when i search for this error its mainly posts from last year when a COD map pack came out and servers were overloaded and they got your exact same error message.

goodluck again man, thats gotta be frustrating!
