just got my ace edge stick today but with no instructions,can anyone help me with a link to some sort of diagram with all the buttons marked on it

One of them is a volume control for the mic, I don't know what the other one is for... headset volume maybe?

As far as I can tell, NOTHING mate. I've been using this stick with BOP & everything works apart from there are no BRAKES!!
The LB button brings up the map, the back button lowers/raises the under carriage, the toggle switch to the right of the rudder paddle is your zoom when in cockpit view.

Oops! Actually, I now believe that both these knobs are cosmetic and don't actually do anything! Just seen it on another forum.
