Ay Vaz's masterpiece --- problems

I can't seem to get this quest to work. There are 3 ships buzzing around, all with quest markers above them, but no matter which one i fight first (or if i fight them all!) nothing happens. I see a couple of other threads where this has been mentioned but none seem to have a solution........

I'll let you know if you need to restart the game to get it. I couldn't complete it the first time through.

me also it is a bug need to restart or leave the quest
