Default Korean War???

OK so I know I'm getting waaaay ahead of myself and I know the Il-2 obviously did not see action in the 1950's in Korea but then again it didn't see service in the Pacific either which some of us have asked for as a sequel SO... Would there be any interest in a Korean War sequel or version of this game? I mean lets be honest a lot of the pilots in Korea were in fact ex WW2 Soviet aces and this IS a Russian company. Are there any Korean War flight games? It would be very cool though, F9F, F-86, Mig's very cool stuff!

If you look back at Windows 95' & 98' there was a GREAT Korean War flight sim called MiG Alley. I don't know how many hours I killed on that game. But I think a Il-2 in Korea would be a great idea. I love F-86s myself, and I've got many books on it as well. I think a Korean War game would be just what the console community needs now.

Funny because, I was also thinking earlier, about what if they made a Korean War game

It was a fair game. A lot of patches were put in place, especially for the MiG-15. But it was a good game for what it was, since it was the only one I ever knew about I actually got it for Xmas the year it came out, and I think I spent that whole year racking up MiG kills with my F-86 E10

Default Id rather see a WW1 sim!...

Korea would be easier to do because the number of planes to model would be far fewer, but I think this game engine would be fantastic for the BEST WW1 sim ever done.
The reduced speed and turning radii would keep the visual action so in your face personal. Knife fighters bliss

I'd rather see more european/North Africa theatres first instead of a Pacific one. Sure carrier landings etc could be fun (I did spent quite a few hours with Aces of the Pacific in the early 90's and loved it). Here is my list of theatres that I would love to see:

* The Defense of Malta
* Invasion of Crete (eventhough the germans won that one)
* Ploesti oilfield attacks (if a cockpit view is added to bombers)*
* El Alamein, Tobruk or any other scenario in North Africa

The Mediteranean would provide the option to use carriers which would be challenging - especially in Simulator mode.

* NOTE: I think a cockpit view should be added for all bombers. It should also be possible to switch between pilot and bombardier seats. I HATE 3rd person views in flight sims...

For the "Full Bomber Update" I understand that it can't be implemented as DLC but I can't see why Malta, Crete etc couldn't be added...

MiG Alley, i used to play that alot myself.
The Korean War is a theater which was not used a lot in war games to date, so i like that idea, something fresh and unused. Nice Dogfights with jets and prop. planes!

My suggestion would be a sequel game which only portraits the german side of the war, something that you never have a chance to play in any game yet (except ROHOS which is coming out next year).

A pacific theater would be great also, but the Korean War and a MIG 15, i am up for it!!!
