Default Soothsayers?

Thoroughly enjoy having soothsayers in my army. But...I'm starting to run out. The only place I've found to get them has been the various soothsayers on the first couple of islands. Are they going to be available from somewhere else later on? If not, I need to change up my strategy. Thanks!

There is plenty of them, im using them in my playthrough and im having almost full stock most of the time, altho this game is pretty random and you can have bad luck.

I had similiar problem, found only one place that sells them (after returning the ship from necromancer to the captain in Wastes). I guess its all about luck.

Huh. I hadn't realized the troops available were randomized. Ah well...we'll see what comes along. Thanks!

mysterious parcel gives you endless recruitable units except demons neutrals and undead.

this game features no playable undead yet still many units have tolerance, or many items benefit undead only, which imo is very bad design and very lazy!

Typically you will find some soothsayers in the beginning on the first few islands then its likely you will not find them again until you get to the last 3 islands on the bottom of the map but in some games the guy who's boat you have to get back in Verlon Wasteland may carry some and also the lighthouse right next to him in the same area both of them tend to carry viking units. So that is probably about your best bet.

Yeah, the captain in Verlon and the NPC soothsayer on Vestling were the only two places for me. But they both had like 150 of them and that together is waaay more than anyone will ever have the leadership for.

After battling several hundreds of battles vs undead you will drop them eventually. If you don't play on impossible, yeah, their mind control ability provide you with super easy battles, but hey, you can beat the game at any difficulty other than impossible with closed eyes and any army.
I trashed soothsayers as soon as I got demonologists.

lol, I had not realized that there are none at all... well, at least they implemented that monster hunting quest so you can get the great vampire set. That will surely come in handy!

on topic: I got more soothsayers at the captain in Verlon and/or the lighthouse there (don't remember). Seeing as other people reported the captain as well, this location might be fixed.

True, I tended to leave them in reserve while doing the tougher battles against undead and take inquisitors instead (which suck at everything else). And I also love demonologists.

The problem is, demonologists were very rare in my game and couldn't keep up with my leadership. And even though the soothsayers' heal ability is crap and the blizzard just average, they are surprisingly good even as a single-purpose shooter unit, especially against ghosts and skeletons.

I used them on and off until the very end.
