What a mess about, imagine if one of the guns jam in action and you have to cock it again with that wire T handle. I liked the way he just throws the dead fuse behind him. It always impresses me the the technology they had then, thats quite a modern turret really, all electric with a joystick interface.

I couldn't believe it! The defiant gunner used a joy-stick!!

BTW, loved the Bofors 40MM, i always imagined Boulton Paul might have developed a new aircraft with the excellent Defiant frame, remove the turret and add 1 40mm bofor gun .. then you'd have a TRUE bomber destroyer!

No, the parachute is beside him and has to be attached to the special suit he is wearing instead of the regular harness.
