This thread is here to suggest other games to play while you pass the time until release of a patch that fixes CODs FM.
Currently I play... Men of war: Allied Assault It's a fantastic WWII RTS. War of the roses beta In this you play as Michael Douglas or Kathleen Turner.. Err hang on nope my bad. You play as either a soldier from the noble house of York or the despicable soldiers of the mad house of lancaster ![]() Have to say this is a bloody good fun game, either charging around with armour and a bastard sword or on top of battlements with a bow/crossbow in hand. So what do you suggest and why ![]()

![]() Quote:
As I understand, War of the roses is limited to the combat? Have you tested Mount&Blade Warband? If you're into medieval carnage, it is also a great game to play ![]() The game also simulates the intricate feudal hierarchy and relationships of the lords who rule the towns/castles/cities. Personal feuds can spark wars between the factions. Lords can defect. Ladies can elope into marriage with a lord in another faction (this if anything will spark a war ![]() I highly recommend. EDIT: I have now played the game ~90 hours, and I have gathered enough troops/companions/experience to try and start my own kingdom, so I renounced my vassalage with the kingdom of Nords, and then laid siege and successfully conquered a castle from the currently weakened kingdom of Swadia. So I feel, that now, after about 90 hours play, the game is just beginning ![]()

Sounds good, I guess that your talking about the single player of M&B?
I heard good things about it but I am a graphics whore so to me war of the roses is the way to go, the sword fighting is amazing ![]()

I'm beta of WoR too... and I love M&B Warbands: as Untamo says, the detail of the single player campaign is really deep.
Anyway, if we're going to talk about feudal simulation, nothing beats "Crusader Kings II". It's wonderful when you are old, without living male children and you search of a "good young lady" to spawn babies... then you find an available young princess and you're celebrating until you find out that she has gonorrhea. ![]() Here I'm the Scottish Emperor, but started the game as Duke of Moray (YEAH!) ![]()

Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically. Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.
