Guys,
I am on the verge of raising a bug but want to make some clarifications from our Merlin experts. I would like to compile the correct data here through discussion.
Presently from memory (untested formally) the merlin engine in Spits and Hurricanes will knacker up the instant it gets over 105C oil and water (I am open to correction on this since I am not in game right now - If nobody posts the correction I will test and edit this)
The pilots notes of each type contradict this, for example for the Merlin XII in the Spitfire II
For example it appears that we should manage 135C for 5 mins on coolant. I can't imagine doing that for 3 seconds in the current FM/DM, so RAF types - let's get it right and I'll raise a bug if it's required
Hell we can hardly complain @ 1C when we've had a year to spot this ourselves!!
