Default Quick mission gripe

It seems that almost every mission in quick mission is on the allied side . If I want to fly an me109 in dogfight even , it can be done but only if its wearing Brit markings ,which really spoils the realism . Why can you not pick a side in quick mission? Or am I missing something ?

I believe you can select a nation and national markings in the quick mission screen.

EDIT: yep just checked, you can select which side you fly for and the markings are correct, if you want to fly axis in the quick dogfights then select the player icon above the axis plane (must be a flyable type selected)

I just double checked again and clicked on the axis side selected bf109 and when I went to fly , sure enough I'm flying a spit again !!! The icons where you should be able to select sides are completely unresponsive . I selected " Dogfights Even " in quick mission . I find it's like this through the whole game . Only found two quick missions where you fly the 109 sofar - free hunt and one other one . I can fly "dogfights even " by changing the planes and selecting the 109 on the british side and so forth but then it has british markings. It's the same with all the missions , no choice which side to fly on .(if you want historic markings ) .They need to change it back like it was in 1946 where you could select whatever you liked . A scripted quick mission , is not a quick mission .

You don´t have to click the flag, but the pilot(s) above the planes picture. If unselected, the pilot(s) are greyed out .
