Default Where did my sound go?

O.K. gang this is wierd: Logged on this morning (last night was fine)
the intro screen is loud and clear, music and all aircraft sounds are soo low , my volume has to be full up to even distinguish that its on.

Went through "validating steam files" all o.k.
all other games FSX: Team Speak are fine
anyone ever have this issue

Denis

Might be a stupid question, but have you checked the sliders in game: options-audio?

System spec?

Lately I expired the same problem under win7 64bit, eventually I ended up reinstalling all game wich did nothing. Solution on the other hand was simple: as soon as I start game, alt+tab to the desktop, go to sound levels setting by clicking on the speaker in start menu, find leveler corresponding to the launcher.exe and turn it up. Trick to it is that launcher.exe must be running otherwise that leveller is gone... Let me know if that worked for You...

I understand this:::::

clicking on the speaker in start menu,

not sure where the "Leveler for the launcher is"
find leveler corresponding to the launcher.exe and turn it up.

Right click on the speaker in task bar once the game is running and you have alt+tab'ed out,
Click the 'Open Volume Mixer' and look for the launcher slider.

I must say I had this problem last week, tried everything including reinstalling sound drivers, turning the PC off etc, nowt worked.
Next day I booted up and everything was working again...... I hate PC's sometimes

O.K. got it: that worked! Bizarre: as the slider for COD was all the way up, and no sound until I clicked on it, to move it, and the sound blasted

whatever works I guess;

Thanks

Denis
