Differential Toe Brakes = No Braking Sound

Hello everyone! At wits end here, I think I tried everything and I'm coming to the conclusion this is a bug...

Just reinstalled IL-2 after a long hiatus, clean install from the DVD and patched in order up to 4.13. LOVING the separate HOTAS axis for the left and right toe brakes, but when using the separate axis the brakes do not make any noise... You know the lovely moaning groaning noises...

When I use the standard brake axis or the keyboard to apply the brakes the sound plays, but then of course both brakes are being applied instead of the differential braking...

Is this a known bug/issue for anyone else or just me?

I had similar weirdness with upgrade but lost the option for L/R? I gave up and use B key or just one toe brake for both It works fine.
