Default DS version

I've just bought mini-Gill a DS for christmas. Has anyone had the pleasure of IL2 on the DS and if so what do you think of it?

Not tried DS version Gilly but played the PSP version and that was bad. Might be worth checking IGN review to see how it stacks up to PSP version.

I got a chance to play it, back when I worked at Gamestop. It's a bit wonky, and half the game is having to use your stylus before a mission to draw a map and a plan of attack. Once you get in to the air, that's it. Shoot the occasional 109 and try to follow your poorly constructed map, and curse when you forgot to write something in. I tried to enjoy it, but I just couldn't. I wanted a Flight Simulator, not My Cartography Coach.

Cheers for the heads up, leave the DS to the boy I think is the lesson here! Stick to the real thing and my PS IL2.
