Monitor goes into standby

Hi, just bought the game. Running Vista, all updates, all drivers current for my system. The game starts fine, than after the movies, changes to an out of sync display range. My desktop display is 1280x1024. I can't see anything in the game, but can hear it running. I have to alt-enter out of game, and then it crashes.

2 Gig Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4670
Vista

I have fixed the issue. My monitor was setup as a generic. I loaded the proper driver, and the problem is resolved.
